Sakor reservoir in Sungai Padi district in Narathiwat province is the first Pid Thong Lang Phra project aimed at managing water resources effectively for farming. The Sakor reservoir has a capacity of 15,000 cubic metres and is located in Sungai Padi district, which was damaged by severe flooding three years ago. The Sakor reservoir was previously built by the Royal Irrigation Department in 1985 before ownership was transferred to the local administration. Mrs Tanida said Pid Thong Lang Phra implemented other seven projects in seven tambons, covering 1,521 families in three deep southern provinces since 2015.
